As business owners and beauty professionals, you know the many challenges the beauty industry faces, including threat of deregulation, lack of consistency in licensing requirements, and issues with chemicals in professional products. It’s time to make our voices heard!
From Sept. 26 – 30, the Professional Beauty Association will be participating in Employee Voter Registration Week, a grassroots effort to encourage unregistered voters across the country to make their voices heard in November. During this election, we have a unique opportunity to shape our future by electing a new President to the White House, as well as all Congressional seats, one-third of the U.S. Senate and many statewide and local officials.
In order for the professional beauty industry to be heard in this ever-changing political landscape, PBA must ensure our members are educated on beauty industry issues facing all of us and are engaged in the political process by voting. As a beauty professional, you can help others in our industry get engaged. We’ve partnered with the Employee Voter Registration Week (EVRW) effort and ask you, as a PBA member, to join us in participating in this year’s initiative.
We’ve made it easy for you to register by hosting a voter and election information center on our website probeauty.org/vote. Please share this link with your colleagues, and friends! You can simply type in your zip code to find out when and how you need to register. You can also find more information about voting early in your state if you don’t think you can make it to the polls on Election Day.
EVRW has created resources you can use to take part in this effort, you can view these resources here. By getting involved, our hope is our industry will be better represented at the polls. Together we can impact the outcomes of this year’s pivotal election.
